Expanded and “Better than Ever”, The Dreams of Darkness haunted house crew offers for the not faint of heart, the expanded haunted house attraction at the Nash Ranch with a real haunted house including the library room, parlor room, kitchen, meat locker, bar room and, best of all, the clown’s room, and now the all new sewer tour.  You will have to negotiate the bar room and the electrical room (bzzzzap).  Back again this year is the original “Vortex Tunnel” (since 1989) and the famous “Hellavator” along with  CLOWN GALLERY and the all new CHRISTMAS HALL, and the expanded underground cave tour, the mine tunnel tour, swamp house and jungle river bridge.  Also featuring, the “Cript, Truck Crash, Stone Henge, and the Old West Town Facade and Boardwalk.”  For a preview, go to ““.  The Dreams of Darkness is an all volunteer event with net proceeds donated to local charity.

Pumpkin Patch and Festival –

“Pick your own pumpkin” with over 30 varieties of pumpkins, winter squash, and gourds grown right here on our 12 acre pumpkin patch.  Pumpkin Patch Festival each weekend in October includes farm animal petting zoo, hay maze, bounce house obstacle course and slide, pony rides, train ride, hamburger stand (BBQ hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks, sodas and water) plus other snacks such as popcorn and snow cones.  Again this year for the small kids, a kids energy buster play area with play toys, teeter totter, swing, slide and lots of climb around stuff.

Corn Maze –

Sorry, no corn this year due to water shortage.  Let’s hope for some good rains this winter so we can get back to the Giant Corn Maze in 2015.

Craft Faire

Each weekend craft faire with crafters selling specialty gifts and craft foods.  Crafters are welcome any day, just come on out before 10:00 to set up.





The Nash Ranch can fill all your needs for both consumable and decorative produce for the fall harvest season. We have all kinds of pumpkins ranging in size from 4 ounce mini munchkin pumpkins and standard pumpkins 5 to 60 pounds. Also, there are several favorite varieties of winter squash, small and large including acorn, butter nut, butter cup, spaghetti, dumpling festival, hubbard, banana and more. We also have  decorative mini pumpkins, several kinds of gourds including wing gourds and warted gourds, decorative indian corn; regular corn stalks in bundles, broom corn stalks, and whole head bird seed millet for either decoration or feeding your cage birds.  We also have straw bales, both regular size and half size.  And every bit of it is grown right here at the Nash Ranch. It’s good for you !

Special Events

Oct. 2:  Starting Friday Night, October 2, Haunted House open Friday and Saturday nights til 11:00PM, each weekend, plus Halloween Night.

Oct. 3OPENING Day !  Pumpkin Patch open 10am till 6pm daily from now until October 31.

Oct. 9Redding Sunrise Rotary Club annual Nash Ranch Bash BBQ for club members, families and guests, 4:00 til ?.  Visiting Rotarians from other clubs are welcome, just RSVP with the Sunrise Club president please.

Oct. 10: Superior California Economic Development – Company BBQ at the Pumpkin Patch Tent for staff.

Oct. 10 & 11:  Nor Cal Antique Tractor and Engine Club – Show includes antique tractor pulls and demonstrations with membership BBQ Saturday evening.   Come out and enjoy the show, participate or spectate, its all fun.  This is the main event of the year for the Nor Cal Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Club.  Displays and Participants from all over California, Southern Oregon and Nevada.  Any member of national Earley Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association can participate.  Memberships available for purchase at this show.  Also, a great fund raiser raffle.

Oct. 17:  Enterprise High School ’75 BBQ at the Pumpkin Patch Tent.

School Field Trips include a child sized pumpkin from the kid patch, farm animal petting zoo, hay bale maze, train ride, pumpkin patch coloring book and all the time wanted for hanging out, picnic lunch, etc..  Schools are welcome to schedule a nature hike along Stillwater Creek at the ranch, either separate or combined with a pumpkin patch trip.  Stillwater Creek flows through the Nash Ranch and is a tremendous example of a natural riparian habitat with many species of native wild life easily observable.  It is a great place for a nature hike, bird watching or a relaxed picnic.

The Nash Ranch is available for your own event – birthdays, family reunions, office BBQ picnic, Corporate or Church retreat, etc. – week days or week ends, no cost for the space if you host.
